Thornhill is pleased to announce that Wei-Lin Tanaka has been made up to Partner in the firm's Private Wealth practice in Hong Kong, having joined the office in 2019 from a leading regional private client practice in Singapore. The appointment strengthens the firm's continued growth in this area, particularly across the Asia-Pacific region.

Wei-Lin advises Asia-based family offices and entrepreneurs on succession planning, trust structuring and the governance of family-owned businesses, with particular experience advising first-generation wealth creators on the establishment of family governance frameworks as their businesses and personal wealth grow. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, she advises clients across Greater China, Southeast Asia and Japan, and will continue to work closely with Thornhill's existing Private Wealth partners across London, New York and Hong Kong on cross-border succession and governance matters.
